Rhizome 2009 Commissions

In 2009, Rhizome awarded nine emerging artists with commissions that ranged from $3,000 to $5,000. Seven grants were determined by jury and two were selected by Rhizome's membership through an open, online vote. More information on criteria, eligibility and voting procedures.

The next deadline will be April 2, 2009 and we will begin accepting applications on January 15th, 2009. The member vote will begin in February, the exact date to be announced.

2007 Commissions

Our 2007 commissions are complete and available for viewing, interaction or download! All eleven artists/ collective took an incredibly thoughtful approach to the Internet and networked technologies, considered its artistic, cultural and political dimensions and produced provocative artworks that Rhizome is proud to have supported.
